This course will take you through how to become a trauma-informed educator, with special application to the current COVID-19 pandemic.
The activities, journaling, exploration, and sharing that is suggested in this course will help you solidify concepts about trauma-informed teaching and process how they can be useful in your online or physical classroom.
In this course, you will learn about trauma and the impact it can have on your students in a school setting. You will also learn how to identify trauma specifically related to COVID-19 and be introduced to activities, apps, and tools to support students.
As you work through each chapter of this course, it is recommended that you keep an ongoing journal of your responses to questions, ways to implement the strategies you learn about in your classroom, and insights on the needs of your own students.
