AIED: Student‑Centered AI Literacy
This course equips educators with the foundational knowledge and practical strategies needed to teach artificial intelligence (AI) literacy in today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape. Participants will investigate how AI shapes modern life and learning environments while also developing the skills to integrate AI across content areas to promote ethical, inclusive, and student-centered learning. By the end of the course, educators will be prepared to design learning experiences that foster critical thinking, responsible use of technology, and meaningful engagement with AI tools.

Objectives

Participants will:

  • Examine AI’s role in education, including its benefits, risks, and ethical implications.
  • Analyze how bias, privacy, and equity influence AI use in schools.
  • Evaluate AI tools for reliability, transparency, and responsible classroom integration.
  • Apply AI literacy strategies that support students, families, and educators in the ethical and practical use of AI.
