The Public School Strong Self-directed Orientation is designed to give you the tools that you will need to become part of a movement to defend and strengthen our public schools. By demonstrating your on-going support for honest, equitable, and fully-funded public schools, it will help you to develop your leadership skills. Also, it provides resources that will help you to connect and organize in your local school district with the potential to impact at state and national levels.
Objectives
Upon completion the learner will be able to apply a historical lens to explain the current attacks on public education, the learner will utilize the On-line Organizing Platform to build organizing infrastructures to connect PSS Teams and coordinate action, the learner will be able to leverage their knowledge about school boards and use their political power to advocate and for equitable education policies and practices.
