Objectives
In this course, the learner will:
- Understand the definition of culture, the different levels of culture, and the impact on their students' lives.
- Understand the definition of culturally responsive teaching.
- Understand how culturally responsive teaching impacts the linguistic needs of their students.
- Understand what equity means and how an understanding of culture and knowledge of diverse populations promotes relational and academic equity in the class.
