This course will introduce the C.A.R.E. themes through an equity and civil rights lens.  It will also demonstrate how these themes address equity and mitigate the achievement gap. 

Objectives

In this course, the learner will explore:

  • the federal role in addressing opportunity and achievement gaps.
  • the root causes of the opportunity and achievement gaps.
  • the difference between the opportunity gap and the achievement gap.
  • how C.A.R.E. themes help mitigate gaps.
